Supplementing the finest examples of the city’s artistic and cultural heritage is the Specialist Library, a hallowed domain for scholars and experts. The Biblioteca Specialistica (to give it its name in Italian,) of the Museo di Santa Caterina is a repository for art historical and museological publications and other materials related to the artefacts exhibited in the city’s museums and galleries, and, as accumulated over many years.
